Position Summary

The successful applicant will have responsibilities in the areas of teaching, research and service to the department and university. Assigned courses may include Analysis of Financial Markets and Institutions, Management of Financial Institutions, and other undergraduate and graduate finance courses, including the introductory finance course. Teaching evenings and weekends, online and face to face, and travel to remote site locations, may be required on occasion. The position requires continued scholarly activity, including research publications in academic journals in the field. The person selected will be expected to support a close working relationship with the regional banking industry, will serve as the primary academic and career advisor for students pursuing careers in the banking industry, and will assist in identifying and supervising internship opportunities in banking.

Required Qualifications

Candidates at the Assistant Professor level are required to hold a Ph.D. in Finance or a related field, or be ABD at the time of application, with expected degree completion by August 2018. Candidates must have an established interest in Banking.

Preferred Qualifications (optional)

Practical experience in the industry and/or consulting and/or previous faculty appointment at a university is preferred.
